    Give Peace A Chance

The late Sixties and early Seventies brought tumultuous times to colleges and universities across the country. Rutgers students and some faculty went on strike to protest the Vietnam War in 1970. Classes were canceled and a forest of peace signs appeared at commencement, a sign of the political turmoil affecting campus life at Douglass.
